Since the launch of my experimental iPhone / iPod applications, I've learned so much. First I learned something I already knew, and this iPhone experiment proved me right. I guess you could say I was reminded of something I already knew. Whenever you do anything different or outside the box, you are immediately branded as a maverick by the pioneers of that industry. This is the same thing that happened with Sinus Buster, and the same holds true with iPhone applications.

This dictionary includes corporate terms I've witnessed, but this is not the be all and end all. Please feel free to add any terms you think I may have missed and I'm sure there are many more. These terms are all based on having a sense of humor. If you can't laugh at yourself then you shouldn't read this.

My latest side venture has been hugely successful in terms of notoriety and publicity, but I'm only making a 5% profit. As you may or may not know, I created a new iPhone application that delivers supplemental blue light therapy. 
 
At first, the reviews were good but there were several powerful closed minded people out there in the tech related blogosphere who couldn't believe an iPhone app could go beyond meaningless grocery lists and mind numbing games. So they decided to slander my new application without even trying it. 
 

In order to sell a product or promote a service, you have to tell people it exists. Before the web came along, the only way to do that was with expensive public relations firms and ad agencies that only big dollar companies could afford. Fortunately, the little guy is no longer left out thanks to the power of the internet.
 

If you know my story, you know I started a small company in my kitchen with $350 and turned it into a multimillion dollar business in five years under the Sinus Buster brand. I started as the sole employee and eventually had 10 employees before I sold the company in 2008.
 
I had no health care when I started the business, but once I had 6 employees, I purchased company medical insurance through Blue Shield. The cost was not cheap, but it also was not overly expensive considering the health of our company relied on the health of our employees. As a business owner who suffered for years with no medical insurance in previous jobs, I was intent on offering employees good medical care once I had the power to do so. Basically it meant the business would have a little less net profits, but a lot more support for our employees and myself.
 

My latest venture is ready to go. The BluWave and RedWave are revolutionary iPhone applications that use scientifically proven light therapy to relieve a variety of conditions related to human light sensitivity. The (LED) Light Emitting Diode technology used to power the screens of smart phones also provide the same light capabilities of modern light therapy medical devices like those used by NASA and Harvard Medical University.

My latest entrepreneurial venture is scheduled to launch next week on Itunes. It's the new Pocket Cemetery IPhone application designed to memorialize your loved ones for eternity with virtual grave stones, bios, pictures, flowers and prayers. With Pocket Cemetery, you can memorialize dearly departed relatives, friends, pets and celebrities in a virtual heaven held in the palm of your hand on your smart phone.
