The Obama administration keeps harping about helping small business and the importance of entrepreneurs to revive our economy, but so far all they have done is hand out billions of dollars to the big corporations that created this mess to begin with. As an entrepreneur and small business owner who has actually created jobs, I'm totally confused by Obama. He talks about helping small business, but he never puts the money where his mouth is.

Frankly, I'm embarrassed as an American who was stupid enough to vote for Obama. I'm usually a pretty smart guy, but I bought into the Obama hype because I wanted to believe he really cared about small business - the backbone of the American economy. Unfortunately, the Obama administration views small businesses as companies with more than 100 employees, but if you have more than 100 employees, you're business is most certainly not a small one.

Lets face it - the economy is in the shitter and everything the government claims to be doing is not really working. Unemployment is up and house sales are down, but it's all being whitewashed with fake jobs, un-necessary public works projects, extended unemployment benefits and ridiculous bailouts for corporations that don't need it. The Obama administration is simply putting bandaids on every economic laceration without actually fixing the injury. It's as if they keep defibrilating the heart without ever doing heart surgery and now everything is finally coming apart at the seams.

If you watch the liberal news, you might think our economy is making a rebound, but if you really take a look at the world around you, it's obvious that most people are barely hanging on. the best evidence of this is the booming business at thrift shops and garage sales around the country. The other day, I visited a number of thrift stores including the salvation Army, Goodwill and independent second hand sellers. I couldn't believe it - There were no parking spaces at any of these shops. In fact, people were parking on the side of the road and down the street at mini-malls and other businesses. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Traditional retailers could only dream of the business these thrift stores are doing nowadays. I also noticed the same trend with Dollar Stores.

This dictionary includes corporate terms I've witnessed, but this is not the be all and end all. Please feel free to add any terms you think I may have missed and I'm sure there are many more. These terms are all based on having a sense of humor. If you can't laugh at yourself then you shouldn't read this.......
 
1: Teeing Up
Example: “Can you tee that up for me?”
Corporate Meaning: To get a project ready for your manager
True Meaning: To do all the hard work on a project so your boss can take credit for it.
 
2: Working Remotely
Example: “I won’t be in the office today because I’m working remotely.”
Corporate Meaning: Working from home.
True Meaning: Taking the day off.
 
3: Action Items
Example: “Give me an excell sheet showing the action items for the project.”
Corporate Meaning: Steps necessary to completing a project.
True Meaning: Ways to pretend you’re actually getting something done.

Ever since the 21st century stock market first took a dive in 2008 and home mortgages dove even further thanks to Wall Street greed, the economic outlook for America and the world, has been dismal. While the Bush administration gave billions to corporate America labeled as a bailout, the Obama administration followed suit by handing out even more tax payer's cash to the same people who destroyed the economy to begin with. Now the new president is claiming to care about corporate responsibility after the fact, as more Americans than ever continue to lose their livelihoods thanks to the corporate greed he has supported from day one.

While the rest of the world is hoping for presents that include electronics, toys, video games and even clothes, entrepreneurs only want one thing - Success.
